Don’t worry! I imagine most small business owners aren’t thinking about Christmas marketing!

Most small biz owners who are also mums are just getting over 6 weeks of the summer hols, and the back to school madness that early September brings!

So please do not panic my friend.

Let’s just use this 100 day marker as your sign to make a plan. So if your small biz offers anything Christmassy (and that could mean product business who sell gifts, restaurants bars pubs cafes etc who will run Christmas menus, Christmas parties etc… perhaps you’re a holiday cottage offering Christmas deals… Now is the time to make your plan.

We’re half way through September. So there’s time to create a marketing and content plan for the next 3 months. Because when we’re marketing our small biz, we can’t leave it until December!

Try this on your reels!

I think us small business owners spend a lot of time trying get to our content to look super polished. Really slick and professional. But we’re not John Lewis! People aren’t expecting a 2 minute Christmas advert! Who is counting the days btw?! I love those ads! 🎄

What people, your people, your ideal followers are craving, is connection. They buy from your small businesses because they want to support YOU.

So your content doesn’t need to be slick and polished, it needs authenticity. Which is where this handy Gen Z shake comes in!

Because it does 2 things. As well as feel spontaneous (= genuine = authentic) it handily also serves as a visual hook, by grabbing their attention as your Reel drops into their feed.

Cool huh?! Which is not a Gen Z thing to say I know! Proudly Gen X over here! The coolest Gen obvs! 😜
